Shot for the places it will run
Brand photography from A+A Media & Events is a commissioned set of images planned around where they will be used: your website, advertising, sales decks and social feed. Our founder, Nick Karvounis, a published commercial and editorial photographer, shoots in Copenhagen and across Denmark, and every delivery comes with written usage rights so you know exactly what you may do with it.

Six things in
every commission
These six are part of every brand photography commission. If the brief needs more, such as a second location, a stylist or heavier retouching, we name it and price it before the shoot, never after it.
Before the shoot
Planning a brand
photo day
Typically 40 to 80 finished, retouched images from a full day, depending on how much setup each scene needs.
A product on a clean background can be reset in minutes. A lit scene in your premises with three people in it can take an hour before the first frame is right. We agree the shot list before the day and work to it, because a day planned around twelve specific uses (the homepage hero, the team page, two campaign visuals, a set of LinkedIn crops) produces more usable material than a day of general coverage. You see a selection first, choose your favourites, and those are retouched to the agreed treatment. If you need more images than one day can give, we tell you at the planning stage, not on the day.
You receive full, perpetual commercial usage rights for the agreed scope, in writing, as part of the delivery.
Copyright itself stays with the photographer, which is standard practice in Denmark and across the EU. What matters commercially is the licence, and ours is written to cover the uses you actually have: website, social, print, sales material and paid advertising. It does not expire and it does not come back for renewal. The photographer also keeps the moral right to be credited where that is customary, although for most commercial use no credit line is expected. If you need something wider, such as exclusive rights or the right to sell the images on, we can agree that in writing too. More on how we document this is on the copyright-safe content page.
Ask them to bring two tops in plain, solid colours, arrive ten minutes early and expect to be in front of the camera for about five minutes each.
Small patterns and bright logos tend to distract, and very thin stripes can shimmer on screen. Glasses are fine; we adjust the light for reflections. For a consistent team page we agree one background and one framing in advance, so a new starter photographed next year still matches. Most people do not enjoy being photographed, and that is normal. Direction on set is part of the job: a short conversation, a few simple adjustments, and we keep shooting until the expression looks like the person rather than like a passport photo. Let us know beforehand if anyone prefers not to appear on the public website.
Mostly on location, because your own premises, people and products are what make the images specific to you.
An office, a workshop, a restaurant or a shop floor gives context that a plain backdrop cannot, and it saves your team travelling. We bring the lighting, backgrounds and equipment needed to make an ordinary room work, and we scout the space beforehand, in person or from photos, to plan where each shot happens. For products that need a seamless background, or for work that needs full control of light, a hired studio in Copenhagen can make more sense, and any studio cost is quoted before you confirm. We also shoot outside the city and elsewhere in Denmark. Travel is listed in the quote rather than added afterwards.
We agree the delivery date before the shoot, and it depends mainly on how many images you choose and how much retouching they need.
The process runs in two steps. First you receive a selection of unedited previews to choose from, so you are deciding on content and expression, not on colour. Then the chosen images are retouched and graded to one consistent treatment and delivered in the sizes and crops you need for web, print and social, named so your team can find them. A headshot set needs far less work than a product campaign with composites. If you have a fixed launch date, tell us at the brief stage and we plan the shoot and the edit backwards from it.
Yes, and doing both in one commission is usually the most efficient way to build a complete image library.
Product work and people work need different setups, so we plan the day in blocks: products on a controlled background while the room is quiet, then people and premises once the team is available. That keeps everyone’s time short and the light consistent across each group of images. Product shots can be clean cut-outs for a webshop, styled scenes for social and advertising, or detail shots of materials and process. People shots cover portraits, teams at work and customers, where they agree to it. Because the whole set is planned together, the product images and the brand images look as though they belong to the same company.
